In creating any multimedia presentation there are five steps which you should always carry out. You will carry out these steps in this and the following tasks.

Firstly, you must think of a suitable topic for the presentation.

The topic you choose must be suitable for a multimedia presentation. It must becapable of using all the necessary multimedia elements i.e. text, audio and graphics. If any of these items are left out, then you cannot achieve the learning outcome. Don’t choose something too complex, remember you will only have about 8 hours to complete it.

Some simple ideas might include:

• a multimedia curriculum vitae (CV) for yourself
• the school hockey/football/netball/basketball team
• your hobby
• an historical event.

• Choose to send an email to your teacher

• In your email cover the following points:
  • Title of your presentation
  • A paragraph describing what your presentation will include
  • A description of the various multimedia elements you would hope to include
• Your teacher will reply to your mail and tell you whether or not your topic is acceptable
