Module 3.2
Task 5 - Email and Netiquette

A.M.D.G.

Electronic mail has changed profoundly the way in which personal and business communication is undertaken. While fax machines, the postal service and telephones are still used extensively, the use of email has undoubtedly removed the reliance upon these services.

Email allows electronic messaging between computer systems. Attachments allow files and programs to be attached to an email message. Carbon Copy (CC) and Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) allow different users to receive copies of important messages.

Netiquette refers to a set of informal rules governing behaviour on the web. They are intended to prevent the inflammatory use of the internet and to stop email 'flame wars' beginning.
