Module 3.1
Task 5 - Mail Merge

A.M.D.G.

Most people are familiar with the idea of personalised mail shots where copies of promotional materials are mailed to and addressed to individuals. Each of the personalised letters are not individually typed. Instead, a mail merge is performed by following the following steps:

  • Create a standard letter, a letter to be sent to many people but without the personal information.
  • Create a data document, listing the names and addresses and other relevant information of the recipients of the letter.
  • Merge the data document and the standard letter and print the merged documents.

  • Using online help, perform a mail merge with the following standard letter
<<Address 1>>
