One single binary digit, or bit, is the smallest piece of data that a computer can store.

A group of 8 bits is known as 1 byte.

1024 bytes is known as 1 kilobyte (kb).

1024 kb is known as 1 megabyte (Mb)

1024 Mb is known as 1 gigabyte (Gb)

1024 Gb is known as 1 terabyte (Tb)
