An estate agent has created an on-line database of local properties for sale.  Customers are able to browse through the records and print out the records of individual properties.

 

a)         Each image in the picture field measures 3 inches by 1.5 inches.  The image is a grey scale graphic with 256 levels of grey and a resolution of 1200 dots per inch (dpi).

 

i)                    Calculate the storage requirements for one photograph.

The database currently holds details of 110 properties.  Identify a suitable storage device for the database file that the customers use.  Justify your answer.
